Lofoten Beach Camp

Lofoten Beach Camp is a campsite and surf centre in Ramberg, on Flakstad in the Lofoten Islands. It runs beginner surf lessons with instructors on a sandy beach that the site describes as the safest in Lofoten: sandy bottom, no rocks or dangerous currents.

Each session starts with safety and surf theory, then moves to the beach for paddling, wave selection and the pop-up. It is tailored to the group's level and suits all ages.

Equipment can be rented on site: soft-top and epoxy boards, wetsuits, stand-up paddle boards and kayaks. The site also has camping, rooms, a beach bar and a sauna that can be pre-booked after your session.

The site says surfing is possible all year round.
