Harlyn Surf School

Harlyn Surf School runs from Harlyn Bay beach, a short distance from Padstow on Cornwall's north coast. Founded in 1994, it describes itself as the longest-running surf school in Cornwall. It holds a Cornwall Council licence and is an AALS (Adventure Activities Licensing) provider.

The programme covers surf lessons for all levels, a summer camp for 8 to 14 year olds, and surfboard, wetsuit and bodyboard hire. The school also offers stand up paddleboarding (lessons, guided tours and hire), coasteering and sea kayaking, plus group activities: school trips, stag and hen parties and corporate team building.

Harlyn Bay is a wide, sheltered sandy beach backed by cliffs and rock pools at low tide, which the school considers well suited to beginners and families. A live beach webcam is available on the website.
