Kiteschule Skywalker (Snowkite Feldberg)

Kiteschule Skywalker teaches snowkiting and presents itself as Europe's oldest snowkite school. It is based on the Feldberg in the Black Forest, above 1,400 m near Freiburg, where the first traction-kite pioneers were seen as early as the 1970s. The summit plateau offers a wide playground, with an alpine panorama from the Zugspitze to Mont Blanc.

Courses begin in the school's rooms at the Fundorena Feldberg, where students receive the theory, safety briefing and equipment before heading to the spot with an instructor. The one-day course includes at least three hours of practice; the two-day course deepens kite control, changing direction and riding upwind. The school also offers a "Water 2 snow" course designed for kitesurfers moving to snow, the KSA kite licence, an equipment shop, and also teaches at other sites in Austria (Loferer Alm, Zell am See). Students can ride on skis or snowboard.
