World of Wind Borkum

World of Wind is a kite and land-yachting school on the north beach (Nordstrand) of Borkum, a North Sea island. It is reached on foot from the Kaapdelle through the dunes, or along the beach from the main beach. The school teaches wind sports on land and on water.

The programme includes kitesurfing (2:1 courses, one instructor for two students, with the option of the basic licence exam), one-hour private lessons on a twin tip, stand up paddling, land yachting, power kiting, kite buggy, kite landboarding and land wingboarding. The land equipment comes from Libre Landyachting, a separate project of the team. A small shop on site sells selected equipment and accessories; the school also welcomes groups and companies and sells gift vouchers.
