Surfschuppen Born

Surfschuppen Born is a water sports school that has operated since 1997 on the campsite in Born on the Darß peninsula. It is also known as Kiten-lernen.de. It sits right on the Saaler Bodden, a large shallow lagoon usable in almost all wind directions.

It teaches kitesurfing, windsurfing, wingfoiling, stand up paddle and eFoil with VDWS-licensed kite and windsurf instructors in small groups. The school also rents equipment. On site there are a beach bar, events, accommodation and a bakery, the Backschuppen, within the campsite.

2026 season ended on 4 October; reopening in early May 2027. In season, Friday to Sunday (and public holidays) 10 am to 6 pm in May and September; longer hours in June, July and August.
