Espace Fun

Espace Fun is a watersports base and beach on the Lacs de l'Eau d'Heure in Froidchapelle, close to Charleroi and Namur. Windsurfing takes place on the Plate Taille lake (650 hectares), at the windiest spot of the site, with recent gear suited to each level and wind.

Instructors teach and coach adults and children from age 8 (who can swim); gear can be rented on site or online, with wetsuit, harness and booties as extras. The base also offers kayak, stand up paddle and sailing, plus packages for groups, companies and schools.

The Espace Fun Surfshop, which calls itself the only surf shop in Wallonia where you can test gear on site, sells windsurf, kitesurf, surf and SUP equipment, wetsuits, surfwear and accessories, with a speciality in Dakine bags.

Water activities: April, weekdays 11 am - 6 pm, weekends 11 am - 6 pm; May and June, weekdays 12 pm - 6 pm, weekends 11 am - 6 pm; July and August 10 am - 6 pm; September and October, weekdays 1 pm - 6 pm, weekends 11 am - 6 pm (October: weekends 12 pm - 5 pm). Opening depends on weather; outside summer, weekday bookings by SMS or email.
