School Presentation
Outer Banks Kiting (OBK) is a locally owned kiteboarding school in Avon, on Hatteras Island, North Carolina. Run by Jay Crawford, who has eighteen years in the kiteboarding industry, it knows Hatteras' winds, waters and beaches well. All its instructors are PASA and IKO certified; the school is insured and CPR/first-aid trained.
Lessons are half-day or full-day and use a 21-foot boat and a jet ski as chase craft, taking students to the best location for the conditions. The offer includes custom private lessons, three-day camps (one coach for one or two students, four at most), wing and eFoil lessons, and kite charters.
OBK works with Naish and Duotone, and with Flite for eFoils, and recommends using its gear during lessons to maximize time on the water.
