Jack's Surf Lessons and Board Rentals is a surf school in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, founded in 2010 by Jack Hannigan. It teaches by the pier, one of the few surf zones in the city, and shows more than a thousand five-star reviews.
The flagship class is an intensive half day from 9 am to 2 pm: ocean safety, stretching, learning the pop-up on the sand, then into the water with a provided board, plus games and lunch. The school also offers private, semi-private and small-group lessons, a summer camp for kids and surfboard rentals.
Instructors are CPR and first-aid certified. Jack's also runs stand up paddle lessons and tours (including SUP yoga) and kayak tours, with equipment rentals.
