XtremeMN

XtremeMN is an extreme sports center in Baxter, in central Minnesota. It has focused on kiteboarding, snowkiting and hydrofoiling since the early 2000s, with the aim of getting people outside in every season on the region's lakes, on the water as well as on snow or ice.

Lessons are given one-on-one or for two riders by head instructor Jeremy Jones, who has kited since 2003 and reports more than 1,500 hours of teaching. The program runs from an introduction, kite control and safety, to riding independently. All kite gear is provided during lessons.

The online shop sells Ozone kites and kiteboarding, snowkiting and hydrofoil gear. Up to $180 of the guide cost can be credited toward the purchase of a new kite package.
