Lakawa Kiteboarding Board Shop

Lakawa (Lakes Area Kiting and Windsurfing Advisory) is a wind sports school and shop in White Bear Lake, in the Saint Paul suburbs of Minnesota. It teaches kitesurfing, kite foiling, wing foiling, windsurfing and snowkiting, and sells and repairs gear.

Lessons take place wherever the wind blows: Waconia, Lake Minnetonka, Medicine Lake and White Bear Lake, plus Mille Lacs a little over two hours from Minneapolis. In winter, snowkiting takes over on the frozen lakes, which the school describes as an easier way into the sport than kitesurfing.

The shop is open Monday to Friday 8:30 am to 5 pm and Saturday 9:30 am to 1 pm (hours listed on the school's website).
