Sean's Surf Instruction Co.

Sean's Surf Instruction Co. is a surf school in Wrightsville Beach near Wilmington (North Carolina), run by Sean Griffin, who was born in the area in 1986 and has taught for over fifteen years. Lessons take place at Wrightsville Beach, Figure Eight Island and Wilmington, all year round.

The school offers 90-minute private lessons for all ages and levels, with all equipment included and a lesson tailored to each student (type of waves, goals, board). Sean finds that 1.5 hours suits 99% of his students. Packages of five or ten lessons are sold as gift certificates that do not expire and can be shared.

The school also runs five-day summer surf camps for kids, a flexible camp for kids or adults (8 am or 4 pm) announced for 2026, and private lessons with other instructors on the team.
