School Presentation
OBX Windsurfing is the windsurf school of professional windsurfer Mike Burns on Cape Hatteras and the Outer Banks (North Carolina). Mike has taught for almost thirty years (he started at 19 in New York), has run schools and clinics, organizes OBX-WIND, one of the largest windsurfing events in the western hemisphere, and was voted AWSI 2023 North American Windsurfer of the Year.
The school is backed by Severne. It offers a two-hour private beginner lesson (5 to 10 minutes on land, the rest on the water, new Severne and Starboard gear included), group lessons for two to four people, advanced coaching up to pro level (harness, footstraps, jibing, loops) and a two-hour windsurf foil lesson. Dates and conditions are planned around the student's stay on the Outer Banks.
