361KITE has offered kiteboarding lessons in Corpus Christi and South Texas since 2014. Its instructors are PASA certified and hold first aid / CPR / AED certification.

Head instructor Gael Burgess-Bouchenafa has kiteboarded since 2002 and taught since 2004. Lessons come in three formats: a 3-hour beginner lesson, a 5-hour extended lesson and a 10-hour independent lesson. The website says it usually takes 5 to 10 hours of lessons to become an independent beginner.

All equipment is provided (Eleveight gear) along with radio helmets for constant communication between instructor and student; wetsuits are not provided but can be rented locally. The lesson location depends on wind and conditions and is always within 15-20 minutes' drive of central Corpus Christi; the instructor tells students beforehand.
