School Presentation

Fruitloops is a kitesurfing and foiling school based in Durban, founded by Lorenzo Valenti and Joshua Emanuel, a professional rider and Red Bull Megaloop Challenge winner. Lessons take place at various spots along the KwaZulu-Natal coast (Durban, Ballito) and in Cape Town, depending on the wind; lessons are scheduled about three days ahead from the forecast.

Courses run seven days a week with IKO-trained instructors, a maximum of two students per instructor and a two-way radio headset to communicate on the water. Students must be over 35 kg; the website says most people learn in 4 to 10 hours. GoPro video of the lesson is available as an option (R 200 per hour). Foil lessons (wake foil behind a boat or jet-ski, then kite, surf and wing foiling) are also offered in KwaZulu-Natal.

Fruitloops runs an online shop for kitesurf and wing foil gear (Core kites, Mystic Boarding accessories, twin-tips and waveboards) and organises kite safaris in Africa and abroad.
