Capixaba Kite School & Point

Capixaba Kite School & Point is a kitesurf school on Camburi beach in Vitória (Espírito Santo state), about five minutes from the airport according to its website. Its base is kiosk 1 on Avenida Dante Michelini; its Google listing shows 5/5 from about a hundred reviews.

The course aims at independence: handling the equipment, safety, weather and sailing in every direction. School equipment is included (harness with leash, twintip, kite and bar, helmet with radio, vest). The full course is 12 sessions of about 1.5 hours (including about 30 minutes of rigging and theory), booked privately with the instructors according to wind and level. An "experience pack" lets you try the sport over a weekend. The site gives a wind season from August to May, with north-east or south-west wind of 10 to 22 knots, and advises against sailing in rain.
