Kssino Surf Escola

Kssino Surf Escola is a surf school on Cassino beach in Rio Grande, on the southern coast of Rio Grande do Sul. It grew out of a project by surfer and instructor Claudio Touguinha, who has been giving lessons since the 2002-2003 summer; the school has used its current name since 2008, alongside the kssino.com portal (daily wave report, spot webcam).

It offers adult courses (customised packages, group introduction courses, "Surf Experience" clinics) and summer courses for children from age 4 in three groups (Jacarés 4-5, Pinguins from 6, Groms). All equipment is provided. The coordinating instructor has surfed since 1993, taught since 2003 and completed lifeguard (Salva Surf) training. The school also runs a charity project, Surf Solidário, for underprivileged children (about 810 children and teenagers over 10 years, according to the site).

The teaching season lasts seven months, from October to April. The site also presents the Cassino surf spots, from the Molhe da Barra to the Navio Altair (over 200 km of straight beach).
