School Presentation
Escola de Vela Pajussara, run by "Dinho" and his team, teaches dinghy sailing and windsurfing in the Pajuçara bay in Maceió. The website lists boats and equipment from the Dingue, Laser (ILCA), Optimist, windsurf and offshore sailing classes.
Adults can take a beginner windsurf course (one 2-hour theory session then four 2-hour practical sessions, personalised format) and a Dingue sailing course; children aged 8 to 11 can take a sailing course on Optimist and Dingue; the school also offers offshore sailing, regatta clinics, Laser improvement and a "Clube da Vela" for weekly sailing.
Renting a Dingue or beginner windsurf equipment is possible under an instructor's supervision, with at least one year of sailing experience. Only windsurfing counts as a board sport in this directory: classic sailing is a complement.
