Kitepoeira Kiteschool

Founded in 2013, Kitepoeira is a kitesurfing school in Cumbuco welcoming students from Brazil and abroad (lessons in Portuguese, English and German). Its technical director, Júnior Kitepoeira, is presented as an IKO Level III Manager instructor; all instructors are ABK and IKO certified and the school issues an IKO card.

The basic course is 10 hours over 4 or 5 days: roughly half at sea in front of the school and half on Cauípe lagoon (transport included). The program covers wind window, rigging, safety systems, launching and landing, bodydrag, relaunching, self-rescue, waterstart and first rides.

The course includes current-year kites, vests, helmets and radio. Children from 7, accessibility for people with disabilities, and women can choose a female ABK-certified instructor.
