Dr. Kite School - Pedro Soares

Dr. Kite is a kitesurf school based in Barra do Cunhaú (Canguaretama, Rio Grande do Norte), coordinated by instructor Pedro Soares. It teaches where the river meets the sea, forming sandbanks and a flat, shallow water area that the school presents as ideal for beginners and intermediate riders; a few waves break near the river mouth for kitewave sessions.

The website lists a 10-hour beginner crash course with 2 to 3 hours of lessons per day, rental of kites in various sizes and other equipment, and on-the-spot kite repairs by a professional with more than 8 years of kitesurfing experience.

The team helps with rigging and de-rigging, launching and landing, and provides on-water support; personalised assisted sailing is available. The school also offers downwinds to Praia do Amor, Pipa and Praia do Madeiro, and works with partner pousadas in the area for accommodation.
