Mané Kite School

Mané Kite School is a kitesurfing school in Florianópolis (Santa Catarina), based at Daniela beach in the north of the island. It describes itself as a family of people passionate about sea, wind and kitesurfing, and teaches from beginner to advanced level.

The beginner course lasts 12 hours: 9 hours of practice and about 3 hours of theory (rideable winds, right of way, self-rescue, relaunching the kite, forecasts, rigging, kite control on land, bodydrag, first waterstarts and first rides). The stated goal is to make students independent and safe for themselves and others. Gear is adjusted to the wind and each student's weight, and lessons are supported by radio.

The school also offers advanced hourly lessons (transitions, big air, pop, backroll, frontroll), kitefoil (hydrofoil) lessons and wingfoil lessons, first on land then on the water.
