Water Sports Centre of Nea Roda

The Water Sports Centre of Nea Roda is a water sports centre in Halkidiki, opened in 1983 on Nea Roda beach and moved in 2001 about 5 km towards Ouranoupoli, to the beach next to the Eagles Palace hotel. Its website describes it as a school recognised by the General Secretariat of Sport, with qualified instructors from the GGA, the DWWV and the WWS-WWC.

On the non-motorised side, the centre offers windsurfing lessons from age 8, using a rotating simulator to learn theory and technique before entering the water, and rents around fifteen boards with sails from 2 to 12.5 sqm. The site states daily winds of 2 to 5 Beaufort from midday into the evening. It also offers SUP (a free 10-minute introductory lesson) and sailing (Hobie Cat 18 catamaran, Laser).

It is above all a multi-activity centre: water skiing, wakeboard, wakesurf, barefoot, towed rides, boat rental and speedboat licence (the motorised side is not described here). Since 2016 it also operates in several hotels of the first Halkidiki peninsula (Pomegranate, Potidea Palace, Istion Club, Portes Beach) as Halkidiki Action Water Sports, and since 2024 at Porto Carras (Sithonia).
