Wingsurf Greece (WSG)

Wingsurf Greece (WSG), founded in 2019 by Anders Wennesland, presents itself as the first organisation of its kind in Greece dedicated to wingsurfing. Its home spot is the bay of Porto Rafti, about 20 minutes from Athens airport, around 50 m from the local sailing club; the website describes northerly winds of 4 to 7 Beaufort almost every day in summer (June-September) and a switch to the south side of the bay in the off-season.

Lessons range from wing basics on the beach and then on a SUP (2 to 4 hours) to foiling (with training behind a boat), then intermediate (jibe, tack) and advanced (wave, air) levels. The team includes professional instructor Dimitris Apalagakis (Greek/English) and the founder (English/Norwegian). WSG also works with partner schools in Artemida-Loutsa and Vravrona.
