ION CLUB Karpathos is the windsurf and wing foil centre of the ION CLUB network on the island of Karpathos, about 150 km south-east of Rhodes. The centre is split over two stations, Gun Bay and Chicken Bay, about 800 m apart; Chicken Bay is a sandy bay suited to beginners and intermediates.
The website describes a meltemi that can reach 35-40 knots in the afternoon in July-August, steadier in May-June and September. The centre offers windsurf and wing foil rental and lessons, with an accommodation page.
