School Presentation
Ikaria Surf School is a surf school on Messakti beach, on the north coast of the island of Ikaria, Greece. It presents itself as a way of life built around the island and surfing, with an environmental approach (a Sustainability page on its website).
Surf sessions are run by instructors certified by SurfingGB and ISA, who are also trained lifeguards (SLSA, ISLA, Lifeguard Hellas), with a strict ratio of 4 students per instructor, video analysis and a photographer during the lessons. Three levels are offered: beginner, intermediate and advanced. The school also offers SUP sessions (flat water or waves), rental of surfboards, SUPs, bodyboards, kayaks, snorkelling gear and skateboards, yoga on the beach, hiking tours with local guides, plus Surf & Stay trips and retreats.
