Wingfoil Euskadi

Wingfoil Euskadi is a wingfoil school that presents itself as a pioneer in the province of Alava. Lessons take place on the Ullibarri-Gamboa reservoir, near Vitoria-Gasteiz, the largest reservoir in the Basque Country (146 hm3): a flat, swell-free stretch of water with good winds and access points.

Beginner and improver lessons, private or group, cover wind and sailable courses, upwind sailing, safety, handling the wing and board, first tacks and the jibe. They start on a SUP board for stability, then, depending on level, on a wing foil board. The school says a basic level is usually reached in 4 to 6 hours, from about age 12, and reschedules or refunds pro rata a course cut short by lack of wind. It supplies buoyancy vests.
