Odeceixe Surf School

Odeceixe Surf School is a surf school based on Odeceixe beach, on the border between the Algarve and the Alentejo (the Seixe river marks the limit). Instructors are local surfers certified by the Portuguese Surfing Federation, all with lifeguard licences.

Lessons last 2.5 to 3 hours, with a maximum of 8 students per instructor, in English or Portuguese. The sandbanks and small whitewater waves suit beginners; the school also teaches at other nearby beaches such as Amoreira.
