Murillo's Surf & Bodyboard Academy

Murillo's Surf & Bodyboard Academy is a surf and bodyboard school founded in 2006 in São Pedro de Moel (Marinha Grande), on Portugal's Silver Coast, at the edge of the pine forest. Its founder, Murillo, has been a certified surf instructor of the Portuguese Surfing Federation since 2001; the website also mentions a Level 3 surf coach title (2024) and a Level 2 bodyboard coach title (2021).

Surf and bodyboard lessons run daily, in three levels: N1 (beginners), N1+ (transition) and N2 (intermediate), with packages for different conditions. The school also rents surfboards, wetsuits, SUPs and bodyboards, and runs a surf shop. Surfaris and camps with accommodation are announced as coming soon, and a bodyboard training centre (BB Training Center) hosts the competition team.

The school is certified by the Portuguese Surfing Federation and registered with Turismo de Portugal (no. 413/2010); lessons include personal accident and liability insurance. Off-season, lessons can take place in Peniche or Figueira da Foz depending on the swell.
