Extra Surf School

Extra Surf School is a surf school in Ericeira operating since 2005, one of the longest-established in town. It builds on more than 40 years of surfing experience by its founder Vasco Dias; the school started as a partnership with the Rip Curl brand and has focused on instruction and coaching since 2019. It is based near São Sebastião beach.

It offers small-group lessons by level (beginner, beginner plus, intermediate), private lessons, kids' lessons for ages 6 to 11, coaching for intermediate to advanced surfers and guiding for independent surfers. Lessons run all year round.

Rentals cover boards (soft, epoxy, shortboard), wetsuits and boots, with half-day (4 h), full-day (24 h) or 5-day options and delivery of the gear in Ericeira. Gift vouchers and events are also available.
