Club Wind Surf Área is the oldest windsurf club in Santa Pola (Alicante). It was born in 1989 when a small group of windsurfers rented a garage on Playa Lisa to store their gear; the club created its own windsurf school in 1994, opened new facilities in 2017 and installed in 2012 a beach weather station that can be consulted online.
The school teaches windsurfing, wingfoiling (the club's wingfoil team says it is a pioneer in the Valencian region), paddle surfing and dinghy sailing, with certified instructors, equipment and insurance included. Playa Lisa is presented as ideal for beginners, with calm water and steady wind.
The club runs a multi-activity summer campus for 6 to 14 year olds in July, activities for groups (schools, companies), a wingfoil meeting and open days; members benefit from storage and sailing services.
