Buggerru Surf School
Via IV Settembre 1904 n. 4, 09010 Buggerru · Sardegna · Italy
School Presentation
Buggerru Surf School is a surf school in Buggerru, a former mining village on the south-west coast of Sardinia, about an hour and a half by car from Cagliari. It is led by Simone Esposito, born in Buggerru in 1979, a surfer since 1993 and competitor since 1998, ISA Level 3 instructor and head coach of the school after working in schools in Fuerteventura, Lanzarote and Morocco.
The school offers lessons and surf camps for all levels, in small groups with equipment provided, with transfers to the spots depending on conditions. The one-week surf camp includes 7 nights in the Surf House (in central Buggerru; quadruple, triple, double or double-for-single-use rooms, breakfast included) and 8 to 12 hours of lessons depending on the season. If the sea does not allow lessons, they are made up later or replaced by inflatable boat trips or SUP outings.
The school also runs family camps in July, organised tours and inflatable boat rental, with boats moored at the Buggerru marina. It hosts a round of the Italian junior surf championship, the Buggerru Surf Trophy.
