Base nautique Mare e Vela

The Mare e Vela nautical base is a non-profit sailing club (association under the 1901 law) located on the Portigliolo beach in Coti-Chiavari, on the southern shore of the Gulf of Ajaccio. It is listed by the Corsican Sailing League and by the Porticcio tourist office, and ranked third national club in dinghy in 2025.

The base offers group and private lessons, courses, a sea garden for the youngest and a sports school for competition. Disciplines taught include windsurf, dinghy, catamaran, RS and wingfoil. It also rents windsurf boards, catamarans, kayaks, paddles and dinghies for independent sailing.

Three activities are labelled slow tourism. In July and August rentals are open from 9am to 7pm; the rest of the year they are by appointment.
