The Club Nautique de l'Île-Rousse (CNIR) is an association founded in 1997, based on the sandy beach of L'Île-Rousse in Balagne. Affiliated to the French Sailing Federation and the French Canoe-Kayak Federation, it holds the École de Sport, Point Location and École Française de Voile labels.
It offers light sailing (Optimist, catamaran, cruiser), board sports (windsurf from age 10, windfoil, wingfoil), kayak and paddle, plus equipment rental. Group windsurf lessons run Monday to Saturday in summer; wingfoil is taught by appointment.
The club is also an approved training centre (CQP IV) and regional training centre; it hosted the Corsica Windfoil Cup in 2024.
