CESM Saint-Florent
670 Plage de la Roya, 20217 Saint-Florent · Corse · France
School Presentation
The CESM (Centre d'Études Sous-Marines) in Saint-Florent is an association founded in 1949 as a diving centre, which has run sailing courses since the early 1950s. It relies largely on volunteers, including part of its instructors.
The base sits right on the Roya beach, in the sheltered Gulf of Saint-Florent, where the morning thermal breeze suits beginners. Courses run on a day or residential basis, with accommodation and catering on site.
The dinghy fleet includes catamarans, monohull dinghies, windsurf boards, funboards, windfoil and wingfoil gear, plus kayak and paddle rental. Courses lead to FFVoile levels, and the centre trains its own instructors (CQP initiateur voile).
Diving and sailing share the same base, and combined courses are possible.
