Surf Club Royan Atlantique

Surf Club Royan Atlantique is a sports association affiliated with the French Surfing Federation, based on the Pontaillac esplanade in Royan, right on the beach. The club offers introduction and improvement in surfing, bodyboarding, longboarding and stand-up paddle, with an emphasis on safety, surf culture and environmental protection.

Lessons are given by qualified instructors, with equipment adapted to each student's level, and are offered all year. The Royan Atlantique tourist office listing also mentions groups, school classes and holiday courses, as well as a guided paddle outing in Pontaillac bay.

According to the tourist office (2026): from 1 March to 30 November, Tuesday to Saturday 9:30 am-5:30 pm; closed Sunday and Monday.
