Description
The Libyan Yacht Club is a non-profit association founded in 2015 in Tripoli to promote and develop water sports. It operates under the General Authority of Youth and Sports and is a member of the Libyan Sailing and Marine Sports Federation, as well as the swimming and rowing federations.
The club is based on the Al Andalus seafront in Tripoli. It runs seasonal training programmes for children, teenagers and adults: Optimist and Laser dinghies, windsurfing, rowing and swimming lessons.
It enters teams in competitions in Libya and abroad, including Algeria, Tunisia and Turkey. The windsurfing classes it presents include the Bic Techno 293 for youth and the X-RS.
