TSV Kirchhain - Abteilung Windsurfen & Segeln

The windsurfing and sailing section of TSV Kirchhain was founded in 1978, first as an interest group for windsurfing and skiing, then as an independent section for windsurfing and dinghy sailing. It uses a former gravel pit, now renaturated, turned into a leisure lake that was enlarged in 1999, one of the few water bodies in the Marburg-Biedenkopf district.

Winds there are mostly light and often thermal, with a prevailing south-westerly direction. The club runs internal regattas, windsurf and sailing trips and social events, and has a windsurf school: courses take place on Friday, Saturday and Sunday for six to ten participants, and new dates open from April 2027.
