Stranraer Water Sports Association

Stranraer Water Sports Association is a SCIO charity founded in 2016, based at the Water Sports Hub in Stranraer on Loch Ryan in south-west Scotland. It offers sailing, powerboating, paddlesports, coastal rowing and windsurfing, for adults and young people.

Windsurfing starts with community sessions on Thursday evenings (5.30pm to 7.30pm, resuming in March 2027), open to all levels: you can hire a board, sail, wetsuit and buoyancy aid and sail under the supervision of an RYA instructor, with a safety boat. The association also runs taster sessions and RYA windsurfing courses, Start Windsurfing for adults and Stage 1 for youths.
