AWN - Windnit (Associação de Windsurf de Niterói)

The Associação de Windsurf de Niterói (AWN, now Windnit) is a windsurf association based on Camboinhas beach in Niterói, across the bay from Rio de Janeiro. Its stated mission is to change lives through water sports, with environmental awareness and social inclusion through sport.

Services listed on its site: rental of storage spaces for windsurf, SUP, kayak or canoe equipment (so members do not have to carry their gear) and windsurf lessons with two instructors, bookable by WhatsApp. In 2023 the association also ran SUP and environmental awareness classes with the Ciep Rui Frazão public school ('Vem pro Mar' project).
