Club de Windsurf Ferrolvento

Ferrolvento is a windsurf club in Ferrol, refounded in late 2008 (the club's history is much older), registered in the Xunta de Galicia association register (C 10069) and with the Ferrol municipal sports board. Its facilities are on Caranza beach, in the Ria de Ferrol, where members store their equipment.

The club aims to promote and facilitate windsurfing, to defend the right to practise on Ferrol's beaches while respecting other users, to raise safety awareness and to introduce the sport through events and courses for tourists. Beginner courses (from age 11) include wetsuit, insurance, life jacket, support RIB, qualified instructors, changing rooms and hot showers; a 2-hour introductory session is reserved for residents of Ferrolterra.
