Kite & Wing Club du Lac du Bourget (KCB)

The Kite & Wing Club of Lake Bourget (KCB) is an association founded in 2011 to promote and develop kitesurfing and wingfoiling on Lake Bourget. It is a collective of practitioners, affiliated with the FFVL, that also acts as the contact for local authorities in setting the rules of practice and protecting the lake.

The club offers no lessons or supervised practice: its website publishes information about the spot and ways to get involved in the association. The busy spot is known for tricky conditions, unsuited to beginners, with very irregular wind that can drop at any moment.

Local rules recalled by the club: clear the launch area quickly, sail at more than 5 knots and jump only beyond the yellow buoys (200 m strip), watching out for swimmers. The GPS point is the spot published by the club (Cap des Séselets).
