H.Handwork, kitesurf craftsman in Guérande
21 Léniphen, 44350 Guérande · Pays de la Loire · France
About the craftsman
H.Handwork is a workshop on the Guérande peninsula founded by Sydney Victor. Introduced to shaping during a long stay in Australia, in a Queensland workshop, he created the Hurricane label on his return to France, which operated for 20 years at Léniphen, between Guérande and Le Pouliguen. The website claims around 30 years of shaping experience (and more than 25 years in composite materials).
The workshop builds custom surfboards (shortboard, retro fish, egg, malibu, longboard) and stand up paddle boards, suited to the spots of southern Brittany and Vendée, in foam, glass cloth and resins. For shaping, it works with Black Label Composite in their Saint-Nazaire workshop.
It also repairs surfboards, SUPs, kiteboards, windsurf boards, foils and wing foils, as well as beach catamaran daggerboards and rudders. The business extends to river tables and bar tops in wood and epoxy resin, and to restoring old furniture when the condition of the piece allows it.
