Docteur Cervolix, kitesurf craftsman in Villeurbanne

Docteur Cervolix is Stéphane Delaunay's kite and wing repair workshop in Villeurbanne, in the Lyon metropolitan area. A kite enthusiast, a member of the French free flight federation (FFVL) since the early days of kiting and a founding member of the KAF association, he has followed the development of traction kites for some thirty years and has developed his own repair techniques. The workshop presents itself, with humour, as a kite clinic, while taking its repairs very seriously.

It works on every type of kite: wings, inflatable kites, single-skin kites and open- or closed-cell foil kites, the latter being its recognised speciality. It has already restored kites cut in three, burnt or caught in a ski tow. For bladders, it fixes leaks, replaces valves with self-adhesive models (the most common ones are in stock), redoes One Pump connections and replaces strut and leading-edge bladders with new parts. Its line workshop copies damaged bridles, shortens cut lines and makes custom extensions, with sleeved, spliced or sewn finishes.

It works with many clubs, schools and shops in the Rhône-Alpes and Auvergne regions, as well as with the Flysurfer and Ozone brands. A consultation before repair is available by appointment.
