King of the Lake 2026

Since 2003, King of the Lake has brought together the Swiss kitesurfing community in Portalban. Three days of competitions open to all levels, a lively kite village, music and good vibes — the must-attend event of the Swiss kite & foil scene. Over 3000 visitors, 60+ riders and 20+ exhibitors expected.

The competitions:

• Kite Freestyle — acrobatic tricks and jumps, judged on creativity and technicality.
• King's Race — speed race open to all non-motorised watercraft.
• Wingfoil — the newest discipline, booming on Lake Neuchâtel.
• Pumpfoil — no motor, no wind: national final on the programme, open to all.

Full 3-day programme available 3 days beforehand, depending on the wind forecast.

Entertainment & village: opening dinner (Friday evening), concert & DJ set (Saturday evening), 6 food trucks, kite village (brands, demos, gear swap), Big Wave Swiss Tour final, family area, wakefoil taster sessions and much more. Volunteers welcome.
