Spot functioning

Obtain barrier card at the chalet park reception (€30 deposit) — needed for car access. Through the barrier, turn right and drive to the grass field for rigging. Launch and land at the water's edge. No formal kite school on site. Marina offers sailing and boat rental. Restaurant in the recreation complex. Water more than 2m deep — waterstart skills required. Regular visitors can arrange a season pass at the reception.

On the water

Freshwater lake — flat water, no waves, no tides. Deep throughout (>2m) — no standing area. Calm conditions even in moderate wind. Good flat water for freestyle and freeride. No seagrass issues. Water temperature pleasant in summer. Avoid SE wind — directly offshore.

Parking

Parking at the chalet park (barrier — access card required, €30 deposit at reception). After the barrier, turn right to the grass rigging area. GPS: De Lithse Ham, Lithoijen, Noord-Brabant. Car recommended — no public transport to the spot.

Hazards

⚠️ Water more than 2m deep throughout — no standing area. Return can be difficult if wind drops: use a board with enough volume to sail back even in light wind. SE is directly offshore — strictly avoid. Access to the spot requires a barrier card obtainable at the chalet park reception (€30 deposit). Winter: grass rigging area may be muddy and impassable.

Wind specificities

Works S to E (South, SSW, SW, W, NE, ENE, E). SE is directly offshore — do not go out. Beginners: SW and NE workable. Wind can be moderate and less consistent than coastal spots (inland location, surrounded by terrain). Good alternative when coastal spots have too much wind or are fully offshore.
