Ski Basin is a kitesurf spot in Rockport, in a protected basin of Aransas Bay. The name refers to the historic use of this area for water skiing. The basin offers calmer and more protected waters than the open bay, with sandy bottom and moderate depth. It's an excellent spot for light to moderate wind sessions, and a good complement to adjacent Rockport Beach.

Boat traffic in the basin. Stingrays. Jellyfish. Sharp oyster shells possible. More limited riding area than the open bay.
