Ngor is one of Dakar's most popular spots, located on the western tip of the Cap-Vert peninsula near Les Almadies — the westernmost point of the African continent.
The area is legendary for surf: Ngor Right is Senegal's most famous wave, featured in the 1966 surf film "The Endless Summer". The island also has a more confidential left.
For kitesurf, two beach options: Ngor Left Beach and Ngor Right Beach. Constant wind conditions with moderate waves make it suited for intermediate to advanced riders. Several surf and kite schools operate in the area.
