Moulay Bousselham is a charming fishing village halfway between Tangier and Rabat, at the river mouth of the Merja Zerga natural park, Morocco's largest wetland area famous for birdwatching.
The spot offers both a large shallow flatwater lagoon and a wave spot on the ocean beach side. You get to ride among birds in a preserved natural environment. Most of the time, no other kiters in sight — just a few surfers on the ocean side.
A favourite beach break among Casablanca surfers. When trade winds blow strong enough, the long sandy beach is also good for kiting. Village mainly comes alive in summer as a beach holiday destination.
Two options: flat lagoon (shallow, sandy, freestyle/freeride) or ocean beach (waves, beach break). Lagoon requires adequate wind to be rideable. Ocean side works with stronger N/NE wind.
Lagoon: flat, shallow, sandy. Ocean: beach break waves. 17–21°C.

Moulay Bousselham village. Between Tangier and Rabat. Small town with basic accommodation and restaurants.
Lagoon is a bird sanctuary — respect the wildlife. Strong current possible at river mouth. Ocean side has waves and current. No kite infrastructure. Crowded with swimmers in summer.
NE trade wind (Passat). Less consistent than southern Morocco coast — the Rabat-Casablanca corridor gets less wind due to coast orientation and Iberian peninsula sheltering. Best spring/summer. When it blows, 15–25 knots.
