Nido d'Aquila (Eagle's Nest) is a kitesurf spot on the northeast coast of La Maddalena island, in the famous Maddalena Archipelago national park. Set among the stunning pink granite landscapes of this protected UNESCO-listed area, the spot benefits from the Maestrale (northwest) and Levante (southeast) funnelled through the island channels. The water is extraordinarily clear and the scenery is among the most beautiful in the Mediterranean. Access is via ferry from Palau.

Parking in La Maddalena town, then access on foot or by bicycle. Ferry from Palau (15 min). In high season, use early morning ferries to avoid crowds. No facilities at the spot.
National park regulations — strictly respect navigation limits and protected areas. Boat traffic from the La Maddalena ferries and tourist vessels. Rocky shores all around — identify sandy entry points carefully. Wind can accelerate around the island headlands.
