Daubensee is one of the largest natural lakes in the Swiss Alps. It is located in a north-south corridor, making it well exposed to the foehn wind.
Ideal spot at the beginning of the season when there is little snow elsewhere. The lake freezes quickly and is usable from the opening of the cable car winter season (mid-December).
Spot accessible to beginners, there is plenty of space. For more experienced riders, it is possible to kite on the slope located to the east and south of the lake.
Be respectful towards hikers and cross-country skiers. Cross the cross-country ski track lightly to damage it as little as possible.
