Overview

Ao Thian, also known as Candlelight Beach, is on the southeast coast of Koh Samet in Rayong Province. The beach faces east and receives the northeast monsoon winds from November to March.

A quieter alternative to the busier northern beaches, suited for intermediate riders. The bay is small and rocky in places, so caution is needed. Sandy bottom in the center of the bay. The elevated altitude of the surrounding terrain can create some gusty conditions. Less tourist infrastructure than the main beaches.
